**Job Overview** **Fairview Range is hiring** **an** **Occupational** **Health Nurse** **for** **our Employee Health and Job Care Department in** **Hibbing, MN** **.** As an Occupational Health Nurse, you'll tackle the vital role of conducting health assessments, offering counseling, and ensuring detailed follow-up care. Additionally, you'll engage in medical monitoring, particularly in regulated industries, as the need arises. You'll play a key role in preparing, coordinating, and providing support for off-site contracts. Moreover, you'll actively contribute to our ongoing efforts in continuous quality improvement, underscoring your dedication to excellence in occupational health services. **Schedule:** This position will work 48 to 64 hours per two weeks. The typical shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift with occasional evening hours as needed. Keeps accurate and timely documentation. + Performs objective occupational health assessment of individuals through taking history, performing testing procedures and administering treatment according to physician orders. + Assess health history and refer employee to personal physician if data is questionable or needs further evaluation. + Provides health education relating to testing procedures and occupational requirements. + Maintains confidentiality of client information, at all times especially in sensitive matters such as drug and alcohol testing, HIV testing and non-work-related health information. + Prepare and report to hospital regarding findings on post offer examinations as soon as possible. + Performs compliance testing as set up per company contracts (PFT, EKG, audiometric, drug testing, etc.) Administers vaccinations per protocol. + Willing to take on Worker’s Compensation duties as assigned. + Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to set-up contracts and deliver off-site services. + Prepares for contracts through chart review; confirmation of services and scheduling as assigned. + Packs appropriate equipment/supplies as needed for contracts. + Assists with set up; break down and cleaning of equipment. Prepares and maintains equipment for continuing services. + Performs specimen collection/processing/reporting according to established protocols and regulatory agencies + Obtains specimens using standard techniques for urine collection/hair collection/breath alcohol testing. + Accepts only specimens of adequate testing criteria and quality. No more than 2 variances per year. + Documents/reports according to protocol. No more than 2 variances per year. **Required Qualifications** + Verifiable experience in nursing assessment, triage, and education + 1 year RN experience and/or 2 years' experience working in an Occupational Health environment. + MN Registered Nurse (RN) License + Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) **Preferred Qualifications** + Critical Care and/or Occupational Health + Nursing experience + Computer experience + Customer service experience + COHC + Breath Alcohol Technician Certification + DOT Urine Drug Screen Certification **Benefit Overview** Fairview Range offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental,vision, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
