Join our team as an Observability Solutions Architect and play a key role in helping customers make data-driven decisions. You’ll lead the technical evaluation stage of the sales process, acting as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and sales teams while representing Splunk’s observability solutions.
Your Impact
Present and position Splunk solutions through customer meetings, demos, webinars, and industry events.
Discover customer needs and design tailored technical solutions aligned to business goals.
Lead technical evaluations, PoCs/PoVs, and guide customers through solution validation.
Respond to RFPs/RFIs and partner with sales to deliver customer-centric proposals.
Continuously learn and adapt new tools and best practices.
Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience in presales or technical sales within a software vendor environment.
Strong customer discovery skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Solid experience supporting technical evaluations, demos, and proof-of-value engagements.
Strong background in crafting technical responses to RFIs/RFPs, showcasing reliability and technical acuity.
Technical knowledge of observability/APM solutions and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure); familiarity with SAP.

Technical Literacy
Core Technical Minimum Qualifications
Strong foundation in observability (MELT), OpenTelemetry, and APM concepts.
Working knowledge of APM internals and runtime instrumentation (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python).
Deep understanding of cloud-native and Kubernetes-based architectures and monitoring.
Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and common failure patterns.
Solid understanding of SAP architectures (ECC, S/4HANA), transaction monitoring, and SAP to non-SAP integrations.
Preferred Technical Qualifications
Experience managing large-scale, multi-region observability platforms.
Exposure to AI/ML use cases in observability (anomaly detection, alert noise reduction).
Familiarity with SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response processes.
Knowledge of eBPF or zero-instrumentation monitoring approaches.
Contributions to open source, technical publications, or relevant certifications (Otel, cloud, SAP).
