OB Associate

Position Summary

The OB associate performs clerical tasks that support the day to day operation of the Maternal Child Health department. They will also function in a registrars capacity, facilitating admission, transfer and discharge of patients in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The person for this position will have strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, good problem solving abilities and be flexible to assist in multiple tasks and assignments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:

1.     Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors

 

2.     Provides service in a professional manger to patient, visitors and employees.

 

3.     Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.

 

4.     Answer, screen and transfer calls to the appropriate person.

 

5.     Provide clerical and general office assistance to the Maternal Child Health division.

Record and Maintain newborn birth log and Labor and Delivery visit log. Admit, transfer and discharge patients from the EMR. Prepare paperwork and folders for the Parent Sibling clases and tours as needed. Receive and direct visitors and clients. Handle requests for information and data Resolve administrative problems and inquiries Maintain office supply inventories Coordinate and maintain records for staff, telephones, parking and petty cash Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

·         High school diploma or GED required.

·         computer skills and knowledge of relevant software

·         knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.

·         knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping

·         knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management

*Salary Range (Ranges based on Full-Time Hours):  $46,098.98-$69,148.76
