•\tProvide powerplant dynamometer testing operations support for 3 test cells (Driveline, Exhaust, Spin-Torsional/Motorsports)

\tWrite standard and custom tests using RE, AVL, Horiba dynamometer control software

\tAssist in troubleshooting and resolving dynamometer operational issues

\tProvide custom dynamometer wiring harness modifications when necessary

\tTune dynamometer PID control loops to optimize system performance

\tUpdate dynamometer cell capabilities as required to support advanced programs

\tAct as a training resource for all technologists in the PT NVH department

\tUpdate current test procedures and help develop new test procedures as needed

\tResolve compatibility/interface issues between RE, ATI, LMS, CAN, etc. for ok to test (OKTT) debug

\tAcquire high voltage (HV) level 2B certification

•\tProvide vehicle testing operations support

\t“Go to” person for CAN Bus/DBC data collection issues

\tResolve compatibility/interface issues between PTdiag, ATI, LMS, CAN, etc. for ok to test (OKTT) debug

\tProvide calibration OKTT coverage

\tDevelop/Perform specialized non-standard tests (e.g. vehicle combustion)

•\tParticipate in daily test operations status meetings and support test schedule priorities

•\tWork closely with department dynamometer operations engineer to improve operational efficiency and mitigate cell operational issues

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\t5+ years of experience working with powerplant dynamometer cell controls and GUIs

•\tIn depth understanding of powertrain operation (ICE, Hybrid, BEV), NVH testing and procedures

•\tExcellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, schematic, problem solving, etc. skills are required for this position

•\tHighly competent with multiple calibration and CAN tools (i.e., ATI, PTdiag, ETAS, etc.)

•\tUnderstanding and application of NVH data acquisition and analysis tools (i.e. LMS, HEAD, B&K, etc.)

•\tWorking knowledge of various Ford systems (e.g. ELMS, WORQ, CPARS, GPIRS, Team Center, TRS/Driver’s Aid, etc.)

•\tProficient with computer skills and MS Office tools

•\tAssociates or technical degree or equivalent experience

This is a Contract position based out of DEARBORN, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
