Nuuly is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer who will partner closely with stakeholders to both architect and implement reporting tables in order to support a rapidly growing business with dynamic processes.
A key part of your role involves bolstering the efficacy & reliability of our data infrastructure. You'll develop & refine our ETL processes, striving for accuracy and timeliness in data transformation. Your proficiency in SQL will be harnessed to draft complex queries, enabling effective extraction and analysis of data from various sources. You will be an ambassador for best practices in data management and uphold our data governance standards. Additionally, creating precise and understandable documentation for technical requirements, specifications, and solutions will be a vital aspect of your role.
Role Responsibilities Database management: Maintain, optimize, and enhance our existing data infrastructure ensuring high performance and reliability.Data transformation: Develop and optimize ETL processes, ensuring accurate and timely data transformation.Project Ownership: You will be point of contact for data-related questions on various initiative-based projects assigned SQL: Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.Data Literacy: Understand business context and support analysts/stakeholders in crafting and standardizing source-of-truth data models/visualization.Best Practices: Promote best practices for data management and ensure adherence to data governance standards. Role Qualifications Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively across teamsA robust understanding of database architecture and data warehousing, with the ability to design and implement effective data storage solutions.Experience with marketing related data setsAdvanced experience with dbt and gitMinimum of 5 years' experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or similar role, with a proven track record of managing complex data projects (Bonus: familiarity with startups, ecommerce or subscription based businesses)Advanced SQLknowledge , with demonstrated expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries; familiarity with BigQuery and Snowflake will be advantageous.Hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing ETL/Orchestration tools such as Airflow, Mage, or Prefect.Proficiency in Python or another data-centric programming languageBonus: experience with GA4 + web analyticsBonus: experience with Looker, Fivetran, or other data integration platformsBonus: interest in the fashion industry, or a passion for fashion
