Responsible for working alongside physicians and nurses and facilitating advanced primary and specialty nursing services. Provides patients with support through activities including, equipment management and use, assisting in case set up, transportation, quality checks, stocking of surgical rooms and supplies, collaborates with sterile processing and nursing team and positioning. Ensures patients and families have a positive experience by exhibiting alertness, collaboration, teamwork, and a positive attitude.


Principal Accountabilities:


1. Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily operating room activities.
2. assists in equipment readiness and placement in the OR, and management of repairs
3. assists in the set up and turn over in between surgeries.
4. Transports patients within the facility for surgery.
5. assists in movement and safe positioning of the patient.
6. Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
7. assigned safety checks and documentation of rounds. 
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
