Nursery Worker
### Job Duties Start Date: Mar 9, 2026 End Date: Nov 14, 2026 Must Apply By: Jul 13, 2026 45 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM We are seeking Nursery and Vegetable Farm Workers to assist with a variety of tasks throughout the growing season. Responsibilities include planting, cultivating, and maintaining nursery plants such as perennials, bedding plants, vegetable plants, and hanging baskets. Workers will pot seedlings, prune, transplant, water using hand and drip irrigation, and prepare plants for shipping. Duties also include attaching hangers to baskets, moving plants with carts, and maintaining holding yards and shipping areas. Seasonal tasks may involve uncovering and recovering storage houses, weeding, mowing, and loading or unloading trucks. Workers will also plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, which includes laying and removing plastic mulch, weeding, thinning crops, spraying herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides, and setting up and moving irrigation equipment. Additional responsibilities include removing debris from fields, harvesting vegetables by hand, sorting produce for quality, and loading or unloading bins and trucks. Work may involve operating farm equipment such as tractors, sprayers, cultivators, planters, mowers, and other machinery, as well as assisting with equipment maintenance and repair. ### Minimum Education Required No High School Diploma or GED required ### Minimum Experience Required This position requires a minimum of two months of prior experience working in a nursery environment performing both manual and machine tasks related to commodity production and harvest. Applicants must provide verifiable references or comparable documentation from recent employers to confirm experience; this requirement applies equally to all candidates. The job involves frequent bending, stooping, extensive walking, and repetitive movements, as well as pushing and pulling. Workers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to a height of five feet and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
