Responsible for overseeing the care of a defined patient population as a dominant aspect of the role and is recognized as an interdisciplinary leader within his/her specialty. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of advanced practice nursing as well as defined specially competencies.
Certification required as an Advanced Practice Nurse by the New Jersey Board of Nursing. Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) within 1 year of hire.
Work requires knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a master's degree in nursing and three to five years of previous work-related experience. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey. Lifting objects weighting more than 100 pounds. Standing for more than two hours at a time.
