Job Overview

The Nuclear Med Tech performs diagnostic testing using nuclear medicine technology. Instructs patients on procedures. Position requires independent judgment and understanding of nuclear medicine properties to perform tests.

 

Will cover hospitals in Little Falls, Crosby, Wadena, and Staples for general Nuc and PET/CT

 

Performs Nuclear Medicine Examinations

Applies advanced understanding of imaging techniques, disease processes and application of quantitative and quantification formulas and procedures.Reexamines questionnaire dataPerforms exams with technical accuracy and in a timely mannerIdentifies anatomical orientation on all required imagesCompletes communication of pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the examPositions patient appropriately to achieve quality diagnostic images.Verifies patient identification and documentationCommunicates with and educates the patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of the exam

Ensures patient data integrity

Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and file jacket transfers in a timely mangerAccurate film identification and jacket preparation or digital image manipulation and archiving

Required Qualifications

less than 1 year experience in a radiology settingBasic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)Nuclear Med Tech NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification
