University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Pharmacology & Physiology **Salary Range or Pay Grade** $60,000 - $85,000 **Description** **Description** The Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the Research Assistant Professor rank. **Opportunity Highlights** • The new faculty member will be expected to help train undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate members of the Orlandi lab in molecular biology, GPCR signaling, drug screening, and high-resolution imaging. • The individual is expected to develop an independent research program using existing resources from Dr. Cesare Orlandi’s research program. • Dr. Orlandi’s research programs use pharmacological and physiological approaches to address significant unresolved problems in health and disease. • Applicant with research interest in all the areas in molecular biology, neuropharmacology, GPCR signaling, and high-resolution imaging are encouraged to apply. **Job Highlights** • Seeking a creative, enthusiastic and motivated scientist with clear potential to develop an independent and extramurally funded research program. • Person is expected to pursue extramural funding as a PI to support their independent research program. • Candidates with expertise in molecular biology, GPCR signaling, neuropharmacology, and high-resolution imaging are of particular interest. • Candidate will synergize with the members of the Orlandi lab, which is housed in the highly collaborative environment of the Department. • The successful applicant will receive laboratory space within the Orlandi lab and will have access to a wide range of equipment and state-of-the-art core facilities **Qualifications** + A PhD degree in pharmacology, biology, biotechnology, or similar fields is necessary + Minimum of 2 years experience in developing and applying cell-based assays applied to GPCR signaling. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a lab with a diverse group of members. + Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities is strongly preferred **Application Instructions** If you already have an Interfolio account, please sign in to apply for this position.
