Responsibilities include: 

Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on aircraft engines or components.Inspects nonmetallic and metallic materials, components, and assemblies using Ultrasonic, Radiographic, Eddy Current, Penetrant, Shearography, Thermography, and/or Magnetic Particle methods-both automated and manual techniques.Interprets the NDT results to detect defects and evaluates to specific acceptance criteria.

 Basic Qualifications Level 3:

High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of Non Destructive Test experienceAble to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spacesMust be willing to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work schedule.Must be willing to travel to other sites for surge support.This position requires an active DOD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsProof of Nondestructive Testing formal classroom training (prepare to provide records during interview).Previous or current certification in Ultrasonics and Radiography per NAS410, SNT-TC-1A or equivalent (prepare to provide records during interview).

Preferred Qualifications: 

Certification in Multiple Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Disciplines per NAS410, SNT-TC-1A or equivalent.Previous certification in Phased Array Ultrasonics or Non-Film Radiography per NAS410, SNT-TC-1A or equivalent.2 Year degree/certification from NDI Training InstitutionMobile Automated Ultrasonic System experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
