Job Summary: This is a short-term nightly maternity nurse role suited to an experienced professional who is confident supporting first-time parents through education, reassurance and calm overnight care within a private family household. This is a private family household welcoming their first baby and seeking nightly maternity nurse support two nights per week. Mum is hoping for a natural birth and breastfeeding is very important to her; however, she is open-minded and understands that feeding should ultimately suit the baby’s needs. She would value a maternity nurse with strong breastfeeding knowledge who can offer informed, practical guidance and encouragement. The family favour a baby-led approach, allowing routines to develop gently over time. Mum is keen to learn and would appreciate a maternity nurse who is comfortable teaching, answering questions and offering reassurance in a collaborative, team-based way. A warm, approachable manner is important, as is the ability to help the family begin to shape a settled day-to-day plan alongside overnight support. This role will suit someone who enjoys working closely with first-time parents, sharing knowledge in a supportive and measured way, while maintaining professionalism and clear boundaries.
