Check out this video for more information on our great company! #PGH-BMC Location Description Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview BASIC FUNCTION: The Night Auditor will complete end of day operations using the property’s internal systems. This position is also responsible for generating and sending reports to various departments. Will also assist guests with checking in / out and any other requests the guest may have. This position acts as the overnight Manager on Duty, two days a week from 11pm to 7am and as a Front Desk Agent, three days a week. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Must have basic to intermediate experience using computers, web-based systems, and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Night auditing and/or front desk experience within the hospitality industry, preferred. Basic mathematical (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) skills and ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key, required.  Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.  Ability to accurately enter information using a moderately complex computer system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as a first or secondary language, required. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public, etc. Ability to execute property fire, life, and safety procedures, including hotel evacuations in conjunction with our Loss Prevention Team Ability to de-escalate difficult guest situations and creatively find solutions to any issues that arise, acting as the Manager on Duty overnight. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to meet the days and horus of the position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform all cashier functions include accurate posting of charges to individuals and groups, and maintenance of cash receipts and hotel banks. Reservation functions including entering and updating group files. Concierge functions (instructing guests on local entertainment, etc.) Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations. Maintain a good working relationship with all departments and employees. Monitoring, selling, and posting items from the Sundries shop. Handling phone calls, while acknowledging guests, and resolving requests. Politely address the needs of guests in an appropriate and professional manner.  Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to take detailed phone messages. Provide resources regarding travel directions, road conditions, and chain control over the phone and in person. Ability to create and maintain a positive impression while providing memorial experiences to set the hotel apart and lead our guests to a return visit. Strong mindfulness and accuracy in posting charges to guests’ bills, managing questions, and processing adjustments regarding such bills as well as collecting payment from guests.  Operational focus will include working in total partnership with all team members from maintenance through housekeeping with the goal of delivering flawless service to one another and our guests.  In addition, the night audit function entails the following: Must be able to work with an elevated level of autonomy. Prepares daily audit reports by collecting and summarizing revenue, settlement, and discrepancy data and trends. Proofing and distributing reports. Performs nightly audit of end of day reports and update necessary point-of-sale systems (i.e., MICROS, Spa Soft, Opera). Post charges to guest rooms and/or house accounts as needed. Familiar with all emergency and evacuation procedures. Adhere to the policies of the Resort as set forth in the Employee Handbook and report any observed violations to Human Resources. Close guest accounts at the time of check out. Research and perform revenue audit functions. Upon completion of audit, input and distribute necessary information to the corresponding departments (i.e., Accounting/Finance) Research and respond to charge inquiries on a timely basis. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees will be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Benchmark rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the hotel. May be required to deliver items to guest rooms or complete inventories of supplies. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent, required. Any combination of higher education and experience within the hospitality industry. A combination of experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position is desired. Overnight shift experience preferred. All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (Dress code and grooming requirements will be provided by the department manager). Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain RBS certification to sell liquor. Applicants with secondary language skills in addition to English, preferred but not required. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.50/Hr. - $18.54/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
