Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Project Manager to support the National Institute of Health (NIH), National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI). The Project Manager will guide our team that is developing a new system to making it easier for researchers to find, access and use heart, blood, lung, and sleep data.

This role requires an understanding Agile project tracking and planning and enabling teams to perform at their best. The Project Manager will have a strong understanding of project management, contract management and Agile methodologies to enable teams to create compelling software systems.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team that is working across the software life-cycle.  The application focus will be a new scientific application that searches for data in large datasets which include biological, genomic and/or proteomic data. You will work collaboratively with the team to best realize system solution.

This role is fully remote!

Responsibilities will include:

Project planning and trackingContract reportingStaff oversight and supervisionEngage with other system owners and stakeholder to facilitate collaborationCollaborate with other team members to enable the teams to advance all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, and Testing)Collaborating with the team on Agile activities, including estimation, iterative planning and retrospectives

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) and 7+ years of relevant experienceExperience leading software development teamsExperience working in an Agile software development environmentAbility to obtain and maintain a NIH's Public Trust

Desired Skills:

Experience working in NIH environment; active NIH badge is a plusExperience managing federal contracts strongly preferredExperience working in the biomedical research domainProject Management Professional (PMP) certification

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
