Our client, an international AmLaw 100 firm with a top-tier international privacy practice, is seeking a talented Global Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney to join its internationally recognized Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group in New York. This is an outstanding opportunity for an associate to work on complex, high-profile matters involving cutting-edge privacy regulations and data security challenges for clients across industries.

 

 

Candidate Profile JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing, or eligibility to obtain admission within one year of employment  2–3 years of substantive experience (class of 2022 – class of 2021)
 in privacy and cybersecurity law. Experience advising on data breach response, privacy compliance frameworks (domestic and international), and regulatory investigations. Familiarity with U.S. and global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA) and incident response protocols Prior experience at a large law firm of comparable rank Demonstrated enthusiasm for privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technology issues. Key Skills: Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills; proactive client service mindset; and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.     Key Responsibilities Advise clients on compliance with U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other evolving frameworks Assist with incident response and breach preparedness, including counseling on regulatory notification obligations and managing cross-border data breach investigations Represent clients in privacy- and cybersecurity-related regulatory investigations and enforcement actions Draft and negotiate privacy and data security provisions in commercial agreements and corporate transactions Support clients on privacy-related aspects of corporate policies, procedures, and risk management strategies Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide integrated advice on technology, regulatory, and litigation matters     Why Join Us?
