Job Title: New Product Introduction EngineerJob Description The role involves project management, project engineering, and product engineering for the introduction of new products into the company. The engineer will coordinate activities across multiple departments and ensure that all necessary documentation is available for manufacturing. Responsibilities + Coordinate activities with multiple departments as new models and projects are introduced. + Evaluate new product documentation to ensure all required information is available for manufacturing. + Interface with customers and project teams to resolve issues related to quality, design, process, and parts. + Coordinate Design for Manufacturability and Design for Test (DFM/DFT) initiatives; lead kickoff, readiness, and wrap-up meetings. + Collaborate with Test and Design Engineers on various projects. + Write Internal Change Request documentation to modify or develop documentation. + Manage multiple projects using a controlled phase gate process. + Develop intelligent solutions to issues and recommend resolutions to internal teams and customers. + Complete customer feedback reports and initiate change requests to improve manufacturability; adhere to internal processes established by the company. Essential Skills + Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes. + Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Selective Soldering, and Wave Soldering operations. + Knowledge of machine shop operations. + Experience with ERP systems, preferably Syteline. + Intermediate skills in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings, production drawings, wiring drawings, electronic schematic diagrams, and routers. + Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). + Effective communication skills in all forms, both inside and outside the organization. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field. + Minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience. + Previous project management experience. + Experience in a manufacturing environment.
