Job Summary:
This family is seeking an experienced housekeeper/cleaner for their Holland Park home, as their current housekeeper is stepping away due to personal circumstances. A smooth handover will be provided, with the current housekeeper remaining in place until a suitable replacement is found. The household is busy, relaxed, and family-oriented, with regular visitors and two small dogs.
The family consists of a wife and her husband, with three grown children aged 18, 21, and 23 (two living at home, one at university). This is an informal, welcoming home where flexibility and a positive attitude are valued. The role focuses on high-level housekeeping and laundry, with cooking helpful but not essential, and occasional dog walking a bonus. Both parents work from home on Fridays, and the family is open to either employed or self-employed candidates.
General Duties:
High-level cleaning and daily upkeep of the entire home Organising and maintaining household spaces to a high standard Full family laundry, including ironing and wardrobe care Occasional deep-clean coordination (deep cleaner attends bi-monthly) Light cooking or food preparation when required (helpful but not essential) Occasional dog walking and general pet care (bonus) Working collaboratively within a busy, family-oriented household
Candidate Requirements:
Proficient in English Proactive, approachable, and engaging Proven experience as a private housekeeper with excellent attention to detail Comfortable working in homes with children/young adults and pets Happy in a lively, informal household with regular visitors Flexible, and willing to muck in when needed Reliable and professional at all times Comfortable adapting to both informal and previously formal home environments Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
