Job Summary:
This family, based close to Kingston, are looking for a housekeeper. The family have two children aged 10 and 8, and a stay-at-home mum who is very involved, so childcare support is only needed when required. The position can be live-in (with a room above the garage) or live-out.
Duties include full housekeeping to a high standard in a 5-bedroom, 8-bathroom, 3-storey home, along with full family laundry and preparing simple, wholesome family meals (for example wholesome family meals). The ideal candidate does not need to be a highly skilled chef but should be confident planning weekly meals and preparing dinners. A driver would be a bonus, flexibility is important. There are no allergies.
General Duties:
General housekeeping tasks (cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, etc.) Full housekeeping of a 5-bedroom, 8-bathroom, 3-storey home to a high standard. Full family laundry and ironing. Preparing breakfast (start just before 7:00am) and cooking regular family dinners. Write shopping lists and household stock take. Walking and feeding a small dog. Weekly Babysitting. Supporting with the children as needed (mum is primarily responsible). Maintaining a tidy, organised, and well-run household.
Candidate Requirements:
Proficient in English Previous experience as a housekeeper in a private household. High standards of cleaning and organisation. Self-driven and someone that takes initiative Confident preparing simple, wholesome family meals and planning weekly menus. Flexible and happy to support where needed. Comfortable assisting with children (ages 10 and 8) when required. Driver would be a bonus. Able to take holidays when the family travels (school holidays). Child friendly.
