New Grad - Junior Mobile Developer - iOS and/or Android
Position Description:

We are looking for a motivated Junior Mobile Developer with an interest in iOS and/or Android development, who wants to build a strong mobile development career within large‑scale, high‑impact projects.

You will contribute to the evolution of a large‑scale banking application used by hundreds of thousands of users to manage their finances, perform transactions, and access secure features.
You will join an experienced team where learning, mentorship, and technical growth are part of everyday life.

The new grad program was designed to help recent graduates improve their skills and explore their professional interests through hands-on experience and professional guidance, while also helping them develop core competencies. As a new grad, you have access to:

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000 - $80,000. This role is an existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and improvement of mobile features on iOS and/or Android, with support from more experienced developers.
• Contribute to code quality (readability, testing, compliance with standards) through supervised code reviews.
• Learn and apply best practices in mobile development, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and QA teams to deliver a coherent and reliable user experience.
• Participate in bug resolution, incident analysis, and continuous improvement of the application.
• Gradually gain exposure to continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and Agile processes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Residing in the province of Québec.
• Comfortable speaking French and English.
• 0 to 1 year of mobile development experience OR
• A degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering with academic or personal mobile development projects.
• Strong interest in native mobile development and a clear desire to grow in this field.
• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) or willingness to learn them.

Technical Skills – iOS
• Solid foundations in Swift.
• Familiarity with Xcode.
• Basic knowledge of UIKit and/or SwiftUI.
• Understanding of iOS lifecycle fundamentals.
• Interest in automated testing (XCTest) and best practices.

OR – Technical Skills – Android
• Solid foundations in Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Android Studio.
• Understanding of Android SDK basics and Jetpack components.
• Basic knowledge of Material Design.
• Interest in testing (JUnit, Espresso).

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with national and global clients.
