Our Neurological Specialists work together to provide wide-ranging, seamlessly connected neurological care.  

 

We are seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join our outpatient neurology team and provide care to our established patients across the Greater Charlotte area at Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute Neurology. This is a full-time position that will be focused on Epilepsy as well as Functional Neurologic Disorders. Prior experience in neurology and/or psychiatry preferred.  

 

We invest in the professional and clinical growth of our Neurology APP team with numerous research and academic opportunities and are looking for someone that is eager to learn, driven, and motivated to provide the highest level of clinical care. The APP will participate in the education of learners (other APPs, students/APP fellows, nurses, and new clinical teammates). Major responsibilities include providing both direct and indirect care in the ambulatory setting and (with mentorship) has the potential to participate in clinical trials and research visits.  

  

Our Atrium Health Neurology team consists of over 60 physicians and 30+ APPs across Charlotte fostering an engaged and collaborative environment. Our established APP Leadership structure, alongside our Center for Advanced Practice, provides support, advocacy, and numerous opportunities for professional growth while prioritizing wellbeing and cultural safety for our team.   

 

Highlights of the position: 

Full Time/40 hours per week M-F with option of the desirable 4-day work week. 

Provide care for patients with epilepsy and functional neurologic disorders across general neurology with focus on headache and non-epileptic seizure disorders.   

Comprehensive onboarding experience providing a focused orientation for first 8-12 weeks with continued onboarding support and ongoing educational opportunities.

Ideal candidate: 

2+ years of experience as an APP with experience in Neurology and/or Psychiatry or Behavioral Health strongly preferred.  

Candidate must be driven and have passion for innovation and collaboration as this is an expanding multidisciplinary program opportunity.  

Patient care driven with strong work ethic and solution-oriented mindset demonstrating ability and desire to support development and growth of this new program.
