Detailed Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is an onsite position within our Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal team members.
+ Perform on-site hardware failure support for Netsync Network Support service contracts.
+ Install, configure, and support network appliances.
+ Support customer, vendor, and cross-department relationships related to network support activities.
+ Manage, update, and document support cases in customer, Netsync, and OEM systems.
+ Collaborate with the team to maintain appropriate availability for 24x7 network support coverage.
Additional Duties:
+ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to streamline and automate processes.
+ Assist Netsync's Network Operations Center (NOC) with network support cases as needed.
+ Pursue ongoing technical education and skill development in the networking field.
+ Support end user compute repairs when required.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Experience:
+ Minimum of one year of IT experience.
+ Foundational understanding of networking and security concepts, including routing, switching, and TCP/IP protocols.
+ Ability to routinely lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
+ Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Strong customer service orientation.
+ Curiosity and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ CCNA certification or equivalent vendor certification (Network+, JNCIA, ACSA).
+ Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
