The Opportunity:
Network Security Engineer
Bangalore, KA
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
· Network Remote Access and Zero Trust
· Manage and optimize VPN solutions (SSL/IPSec, Akamai Connector, Zscaler, IIoT platforms).
· Support Zero Trust Network Access and maintain authentication services (RADIUS, SAML, MFA, Conditional Access).
· Improve remote access resiliency, performance, and user experience.
· Network Implementation
· Deploy and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud network configurations.
· Support upgrades, migrations, hardware refresh, and configuration rollouts.
· Validate network changes through structured testing.
· Advanced Troubleshooting (L2–L3)
· Perform deep dive analysis on complex network issues across on prem, cloud, and remote environments.
· Analyze packet flows, latency patterns, bottlenecks, and escalation-level problems.
· Drive root cause analysis and preventive measures.
· Firewall and Security
· Manage enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet, Check Point).
· Implement and maintain security policies, segmentation, NAT, and threat prevention rules.
· Support IDS/IPS tuning and triage with security teams.
· Enforce network security standards and maintain compliance across environments.
· Proxy, Web Security, and Secure Edge
· Manage enterprise proxy platforms (Zscaler ZIA, PAC files, Cloud SWG, Explicit Proxy configs).
· Configure and troubleshoot outbound web traffic flows, SSL inspection, URL filtering, and CASB integrations.
· Monitor proxy performance and availability, ensuring predictable user experience globally.
· Work with endpoint teams to ensure proxy settings and tunnel clients behave consistently across OS platforms.
· Endpoint and Client Connectivity
· Troubleshoot VPN and remote connectivity issues for Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices.
· Work with Intune, SCCM, and Jamf teams to align endpoint network and security policies.
· Validate connectivity and performance after endpoint policy updates or client upgrades.
· Documentation and Collaboration
· Maintain accurate diagrams, configuration repositories, SOPs, and architectural documentation.
· Work closely with application, cloud, endpoint, and security teams to plan and implement solutions.
· Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
· 5-6 years of hands on network engineering experience.
· Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (IPSec tunnels, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS).
· Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIP/JNCIE, PCNSE, or equivalent.
· Strong problem solving skills, sense of ownership, and ability to operate independently.
