Network Engineer (Network Infrastructure)

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year

Location:This is an on-site role in Boston, MA, built for someone who thrives working closely with IT teammates and stakeholders in person.

Note: Must have 5+ years of network infrastructure management experience and strong fundamentals in routing, switching, and network security (including protocols like TCP/IP and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF). A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Job Description

Design and plan network layouts across LANs, WANs, and wireless networks Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Monitor performance, analyze traffic, troubleshoot outages, and drive root-cause fixes Implement security controls to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats Forecast capacity needs and plan upgrades to improve speed, resilience, and scalability Partner with vendors on escalations, technical issues, and contract support Maintain clean documentation: diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides Support projects and other duties as assigned in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing network infrastructure Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, BGP, OSPF, and network security concepts Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network hardware Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues Strong organizational skills with comfort managing multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s degree preferred (CS, IT, or related), or equivalent experience Experience in an AmLaw 200 or larger law firm is a plus Certifications and ILTA involvement are a plus
