Network Engineer- DNS Management
Seeking two experienced DNS-focused Network Engineers to support a large-scale DNS and domain cleanup initiative. This project will address legacy DNS sprawl, reduce cyber risk, and standardize domain management across internal and external environments. This is a **remote, contract-only role** focused entirely on **DNS and domain services** — not network hardware. **Responsibilities** + Review, analyze, and clean up DNS records across internal and external environments + Manage DNS within **Microsoft DNS integrated with Active Directory** + Administer public DNS and domain services using platforms such as **MarkMonitor** + Coordinate domain management activities across registrars including: + GoDaddy + Network Solutions + Identify unused, outdated, or risky DNS records and assess impact before changes + Execute DNS record changes following established change management processes + Support domain transfers, ownership changes, and domain consolidations from acquired entities + Work through assigned tickets and project tasks using **Freshservice** + Collaborate closely with other contractors, network administrators, cloud teams, and cybersecurity + Participate in project steering meetings and provide progress updates **Required Qualifications** + 3+ years of hands-on experience managing DNS in enterprise environments + Strong understanding of DNS record types and their functional impact + Experience with **Microsoft DNS** and **Active Directory–integrated DNS** + Experience managing public DNS and domain registrars + Comfortable performing domain purchases, transfers, and ownership changes + Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on large volumes of records + Experience working in ticket-driven and change-controlled environments **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with **MarkMonitor** + Background as a Network Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Cloud Engineer with heavy DNS exposure + Experience supporting DNS environments for large enterprises or multiple domains + Familiarity with cybersecurity risk considerations related to DNS ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment.
