Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Network Engineer to join the Global Network Engineering team. Come join us in our journey to provide our customers with a world class SAAS platform, enabling imaginative and industry changing Autodesk products.

We are looking for passionate Network Engineers who are fascinated by the technologies behind the Internet, data centers and cloud computing. The team is crucial to the design & deployment of a consistent, stable infrastructure that both meets network engineering design standards and product goals. As a member of the Network Engineering Team, you will maintain advanced networking and security technologies. You will troubleshoot, implement, and improve standards, implementations, and procedures related to all cloud and data center networking technologies, including but not limited to, LAN/WAN, switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls. You will participate in cross-team and organizational projects, designing, documenting, and implementing new and secure networking solutions.

Responsibilities

Improve and engage in the entire lifecycle of a network, including inception, network design, qualification, deployment, operation, and optimization

Work on implementation of Autodesk’s Global Networking backbone strategic infrastructure initiatives

Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards.

Work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at outstanding volume

Automate networking related tasks and build self-service tools  

Manage an enterprise scale SASE solution 

Participate in organizational objective planning sessions  

Manage relationships with third party vendors  

Cross-train and mentor teammates 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in CS or related field, or equivalent work experience

4 to 5 years of experience in Routing & Switching

Knowledge of Dark Fiber and the technologies surrounding it

Python, Ansible, DevOps Methodology knowledge is also preferred

Experience with BGP Peering relationship management

Knowledge of managing Campus wireless networks.

Infrastructure automation proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

Good level of proficiency and experience with TCP/IP networking, architecture, and core technologies, such as MPLS, BGP, DNS, IPsec, etc.

Knowledge of firewalls, security configurations and troubleshooting

Proven ability to work effectively within an Agile framework.

Skilled at presenting technical policies, proposals, and designs

Clear communicator with a positive attitude

Ability to manage long term, project/milestone-based work with multiple teams

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $95,000 and $170,610. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
