Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Support software defined network architecture and scaling to accommodate global networkSupport Python development and automation of LANs and WANsSupport modeling and simulation of inter-agency network architectures to help capacity planning and future bandwidth requirementsSupport traffic engineering capabilities and resiliency of network that supports external sponsor entities connectivity to cloud resourcesAdvanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, communities, and route policy language (RPL) on service provider on­ prem infrastructureDemonstrated experience facilitating discussions on technical issues and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals
Qualifications

Required:

Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphA Bachelor's (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Business, or a scientific, or technical discipline BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 10+Knowledge of theory and practice underlying LAN/WAN network operations Knowledge of communications and information security policies and practices Knowledge of multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Knowledge of Versa Software Defined NetworksKnowledge of automation leveraging Python

Desired: 

Knowledge of the Sponsor's policies and procedures relating to design, upgrading, and operating and maintaining their networks Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals Doctorate degree (or equivalent experience) in a field related to the position 20 years of experience 5 years of experience in the Intelligence Community
