We are seeking a junior-to-mid-level Network Engineer to support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise WAN/LAN infrastructures, including routers, switches, and firewalls. This role focuses on implementing network solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies, and optimizing performance. Candidates must hold an active Secret clearance and possess knowledge of Cisco and Juniper technologies.
ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (Palo Alto), and VPNs.Create network diagrams, Visio drawings, and technical documentation (HLD/LLD) to support infrastructure upgrades.Resolve complex network incidents, monitor performance, and provide Tier II/III technical support.Ensure network compliance with security policies such as STIGs and RMF.Essential SkillsActive Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance or ability to attain one.4–8+ years of experience in network engineering.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).Experience with Linux-based network tools and utilities for packet analysis, firewall configuration, and network service management.Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Linux, Python, and Bash scripting.Experience in troubleshooting, installation, and automation.Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line interface for network troubleshooting and system administration.Expert-level Linux skills including kernel tuning, advanced networking protocols, automation scripting (Bash/Python), and virtualization technologies in enterprise environments.Work EnvironmentThe position is based onsite in Manassas, primarily in a lab environment, with limited remote flexibility. The role offers a 9/80 work schedule. You will have the opportunity to work with a senior network engineering team, enhance your skills, and engage with proprietary technologies. The long-term plan for this role includes a hybrid position within both the network and integration teams, becoming the Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
