Network Engineer
Job Title: Network EngineerJob Description As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, creation, monitoring, support, maintenance, and optimization of databases and networks. You will participate in design efforts, ensure secure access, data integrity, and security, and manage performance and capacity. Responsibilities + Manage daily workflow and task assignments within the lab. + Report to designated leads while collaborating closely with other staff. + Maintain flexible working hours with required office presence. + Administer and optimize Linux-based servers supporting lab operations. + Implement and monitor backup strategies to ensure data integrity. + Configure and maintain virtualization platforms and network infrastructure. + Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime. + Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Essential Skills + Network operations + Linux administration Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with server administration + Ability to configure and maintain virtualization platforms + Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues Work Environment This position is office-based with required presence all five days of the week and offers flexible working hours. The role includes regular interaction with cross-functional teams and hands-on engagement with lab hardware and software systems. As the lab expands, there will be opportunities to transition into a full-time position that involves both lab responsibilities and IT support, lead long-term hardware replacement planning, and infrastructure upgrades. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $63.00/hr.
