MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in these work areas:

Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexityPerforms maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networksMaintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capabilityCoordinates hardware and software acquisitionCreates plans and configures systems for data communication networksSupports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networksMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedCreate and maintain documentation of networking processes

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 2+ years of related experience
● Required Skills:

Experience with network and firewall solutions, including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, and/or Palo AltoExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsGood communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team

● Security Clearance Level: None required, but ability to obtain and maintain Secret or higher clearance is preferred
 

● Location: State of Louisiana
