**Experis** is seeking qualified candidates for **Network Engineer** openings to support a classified program in **Aurora, CO** . This role requires an **active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph** .
The **Network Engineering** team is responsible for operating large-scale networks with reliability and efficiency. As a member of this team, you will have a direct impact on designing and enhancing network features to ensure systems run smoothly and securely.
This role supports cloud infrastructure deployments, configuration management, incident triage and resolution, monitoring, and the automation of manual tasks with code for data center networking components. You will help keep internal and cloud-hosted services available 24x7 while ensuring customer traffic is handled efficiently and securely.
You will be responsible for maintaining safe and effective network operations by monitoring performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components, and resolving network connectivity issues.
Modern networks generate a continuous stream of challenges that require innovative thinking and adaptability to evolving technologies. Proficiency with service provider network protocols and experience operating production-scale networks with thousands of nodes are required. Experience with one or more scripting languages or IT orchestration tools is also essential.
You will collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Teams to align customer requirements with network solutions and product features.
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ 3 years of experience in the networking industry in Top Secret and classified environments.
+ Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ Experience with network design, installation, and maintenance for service providers or large enterprise networks.
+ Experience with one or more scripting languages.
+ Understanding of network theory, technologies, and the operation of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS).
+ Familiarity with networking equipment and data center infrastructure.
+ Ability to work in a network operations center environment.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Improve the life-cycle of classified networks from inception and design to qualification and validation, through deployment, operation, and optimization.
+ Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
+ Work with other team members and groups to analyze requirements or potential problems and develop solutions and policy recommendations.
+ Partner with internal application teams to design network infrastructure that meets operational and security requirements.
+ Lead development of production network infrastructure through published engineering design documents and specifications, including requirement analysis, engineering design, and solution development.
