The Boeing CompanyBoeing has an immediate need for a Mid-Level or Senior Network Designer with an active TS/SCI clearance to focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) business organization in the St. Louis, MO area.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with Information Technology (IT) Business Success Leaders and BDS stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems enabling the BDS business to meet their organizational and program goals.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to lead the design processWorks collaboratively with other stakeholders (Transport, Transport, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN), Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teamsProvides oversight and consultation of work intake processes. backlog and execution of requests, coordinating with IT Business leaders, Product Owners and Scrum MastersCreates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet customer requirements, using design templates and standard implementation packagesPrepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standardsProvides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring toolsSupports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluationLeads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies for the purpose of controlling costs and ensuring adherence to project planExercises critical thinking and innovative problem solvingBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations3+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)3+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocolsAbility to support after-hours change windows and implementationsWilling to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hoursPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco CertificationExperience with Arista networkingExperience with Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google CloudExperience with Cisco CLIExperience with NTPExperience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems and PanoramaExperience with IPSEC and GRE tunnel configurationsExperience with Splunk, experience with encryption devicesDrug Free Workplace:
