You'll be instrumental in deploying cutting-edge fiber connectivity solutions across multiple data center sites, collaborating with internal teams and external providers to drive network stability and innovation. Key job responsibilities Perform comprehensive network hardware installation and troubleshooting across diverse data center environments Configure and manage fiber optic connectivity for interdependent scaling projects Develop and refine operational procedures to enhance network infrastructure efficiency Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery Ensure compliance with safety protocols and change management procedures Track and report on project metrics, timelines, and deliverables Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members Contribute to innovative approaches for network automation and scalability A day in the life Your day will be a blend of hands-on technical work and strategic problem-solving. You'll configure network hardware, troubleshoot complex connectivity challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. Typical activities include coordinating rack deployments, managing fiber installations, overseeing equipment upgrades, and participating in daily standups with vendors and stakeholders. You'll work with change management systems, ticketing platforms, and project tracking tools while ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Expect to engage in detailed planning, precise implementation, and continuous improvement of our network infrastructure. Basic Qualifications - 1+ years of computer networking experience - 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - Experience in computer networking - Experience working with Linux operating systems - Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds - Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair Preferred Qualifications - Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines - Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure - Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system - Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies - Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment) Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
