GovCIO is currently hiring for a SR Network Engineer - CCIE, to support Special Operations communication. This position will be in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and will be an onsite position

Responsibilities

Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.

Design, Develop and Implement Diverse Wide Area Networking Environments Develop and implement QoS for a voice / video / data network environment Use network/application performance management tools to troubleshoot, analyze, test and provide recommended solutions for performance problems Develops and generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, resulting documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture Provide operational support services for WAN and LAN technologies Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements Work with DOD customers to fill information gaps and communicate architecture and technical solutions Supports the acquisition of hardware and software Develop detailed logical designs in areas of: Gigabit Ethernet Switching/Routing (OSPF, EIGRP & MP-BGP), QOS, DMVPN, FLEXVPN, IPv4 & Multicast architecture, L3VPN, L2VPN, Zone Based Firewalls, MPLS, MPLS Traffic Engineering and 802.1X configurations  Perform Network Engineering and Architecture Duties for Wide Area Networking environment  Basic understanding of Identity Services Engine (ISE) distributed deployment.  Qualifications

Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

Clearance Required: TS/SCICisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) (Routing and Switching) certificationCompTIA Security+ Plus Certification3+ years of Cisco Routing and Switching experience; demonstrated technical proficiency in LAN, WAN, Network Management, and Security. Basic understanding of DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory3+ years of Network Integration Experience Demonstrated ability to handle several projects simultaneouslyMust have a strong, proven background with senior-level experience with Cisco Routing and SwitchingStrong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reportsStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsStrong communication and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of a larger team reporting to formal project managementIntermediate to High-Level experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level networksIntermediate to Expert level knowledge of QOS, 802.1X, Zone-Based Firewalls, and other WAN-based technologiesDemonstrated experience with Layer 2, and layer 3 networking - Advanced knowledge and experience with OSPF, EIGRP, and MP-BGP routing protocols. Advanced knowledge of multicast protocols/architecture across Wide Area Networks

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience supporting U.S. Special OperationsExperience with Agile development methodologies and working with Agile teams using collaboration tools such as GitlabExperience with working with CM tools, including Gitlab, Git-centric, and CI/CD workflows

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process.
