Network Analyst
Salary range: £35.9k - £44.4k per annum (Dependent on skills and qualifications)
Location: Axis House, Edinburgh
An opportunity has arisen for a Network Analyst within Network Planning based in our Edinburgh office, reporting to the Network Support Officer.
What does a Network Analyst do?
The role in will include the following key responsibilities:
· Maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of the Distribution supply system
· Ensuring the accuracy of SGN’s Network Analysis computer models
· Supporting development of the supply system in a safe and efficient manner
· Determining the optimum method of network operation consistent with minimising costs and maintaining statutory obligations.
· Developing optimum mains replacement designs, taking account of factors such as cost, deliverability and interaction with other activities / business drivers
· Developing reinforcement designs in support of new connections, taking account of factors such as cost, deliverability and interaction with other activities / business drivers
· Developing a detailed understanding of Leakage and Environmental Emissions Incentive
· Providing network analysis support to the wider business
· Providing an efficient and effective service to operational departments.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the Scotland LDZ Network Analysis Standby rota.

Due to the nature of the work carried out by Network Planning, the successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of activities from across the SGN business. As such, this is a key opportunity to be exposed to, and develop an understanding of those activities.
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to participate in the Network Analysis Standby support.
