We are looking for a dedicated and detail‑oriented Network Administrator to support the deployment, testing, and monitoring of our network infrastructure. Working under the guidance of the Senior Network Technician, you will help implement technological solutions, maintain network tools, and contribute to the efficient management of network and cellular incidents. Your role will be essential in supporting service requests, configuring network components, assisting the client, and ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our infrastructure and inventory.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Administer the infrastructure environments under his/her responsibility to ensure the availability, reliability, security and integrity of systems during project delivery;
• Implement solutions in line with the company's information security policy, according to the architecture presented;
• Configure network components such as switches, cellular modems, WIFI, firewalls, load balancers;
• Monitor the network infrastructure (logs and communications), correct errors, optimize and recommend necessary changes during project delivery;
• Participate in software implementation or upgrade projects with stakeholders from other IT sectors in order to identify the changes that will be required to the components of the infrastructure related to them and ensure that they are carried out according to the standards in place;
• Provide first-level technical support to the client, advise and carry out technology transfer with the IT service center and business solutions support teams;
• Participate in the resolution of incidents and problems encountered by users when his/her expertise is required in the context of project delivery;
• Perform test procedures to ensure compliance with design specifications and optimal operation;
• Participate in other network management, quality control and incident management activities, depending on the specific needs of each project.

• Methods of deploying telecommunication components (cellular, telephony, WiFi and wired network access, firewalls, load balancers);
• Network testing techniques, environments and tools (routing, load balancing, firewall, backup);
• Techniques for detecting security vulnerabilities and cyberattacks and ways to prevent them;
• Communication skills;
• Able to work independently;
• Excellent aptitude for continuous improvement.
• French language (oral and written).
Specific technical knowledge varies from project to project. The expertise sought is concentrated in the following environments:
• Extreme Networks networking and equipment (optional, but recommended)
• Mitel IP Phone System optional but recommended)
• Cypress or Micro-hard cellular modems optional but recommended)
• Cisco WIFI
• Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls (optional, but recommended)
• F5 Load Balancer (optional, but recommended)
• Knowledge of the different network protocols used for the transmission of information.

b) BGP, OSPF routing
c) TCPIP, Spanning-Tree, LACP, 802.1x, 802.1Q protocol
d) Diagnostic tools such as network analyzers ('Sniffer')
Education:
• Hold a college diploma or an attestation of college studies or one (1) academic year with a certificate in the field of computer science;
Experience required:
• Have two (2) years of experience as a computer technician;
• Have knowledge of the ITIL framework;
• Hold certifications on manufacturers such as: Extreme Networks, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco;
• Knowledge of routing;
Other required
• Requires a car for travel and transportation of equipment such as UPS, switches, modems.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55 000–$110 000. This role is an existing vacancy.
