ValidaTek is seeking a talented Network Administrator who will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting complex and mixed network environments in support of U.S. Department of State systems. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of network, web, and communication systems while supporting day-to-day operations and incident response in a mission-critical Federal environment.

Responsibilities

Administer and support complex and mixed network environments, including LAN and WAN systems

Install, configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure components, including servers, workstations, hubs, switches, routers, and related physical and communications infrastructure

Administer network, web, and communication systems to ensure availability and performance

Manage user accounts, passwords, and email services; review and maintain security policies in accordance with Government and industry best practices

Maintain servers and network systems, generate monitoring reports and logs, and ensure the functionality and integrity of server links

Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory environments

Support and operate within virtualized environments, including virtual servers

Perform configuration management and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and topologies

Provide regular activity, status, and progress reports regarding network performance and availability

Troubleshoot network-related issues and coordinate with vendor support service groups as needed

Provide internal technical analysis and ensure appropriate notification and support during outages or periods of degraded system performance

Communicate effectively with technical teams, management, and customers through clear oral and written communications

Qualifications

4–8 years of network administration experience managing and administering complex and mixed network environments

Associate's degree or equivalent professional experienceActive Secret clearance

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification or equivalent experience

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification or equivalent experience

Demonstrated experience administering LAN, WAN, web, and communication systems

Hands-on experience installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining network and system components

Experience administering user accounts, email services, passwords, and security policies

Proven experience maintaining servers and generating monitoring reports and logs

Solid understanding and experience with Microsoft Active Directory

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in virtualized environments

Experience with configuration management and documentation of network topologies

Experience producing network activity, performance, and progress reports

Strong experience interfacing with vendor support organizations during incidents and outages

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work as a flexible, highly motivated self-starter while managing multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA Security+ certification

CompTIA A+ certification

Experience supporting Federal or Department of State environments

Posted Min Pay Rate USD $95,000.00/Yr. Posted Max Pay Rate USD $125,000.00/Yr. Salary Disclosure Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.

The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
