**Job Title: Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 Inspector**
**Job Description**
Responsible for examining manufactured parts using specialized tools, equipment, and techniques to detect raw material and manufacturing process defects, ensuring all inspections meet customer requirements and company standards. Open to UT Level 1 candidates with on-the-job training hours towards their UT Level 2, preferably 400 hours or more, but open for consideration.
**Responsibilities**
+ Certify within the guidelines of NAS410 methods of inspection.
+ Perform Level 2 duties as specified and limited in NAS410.
+ Update and maintain process controls and logs.
+ Document accepted and rejected parts.
+ Maintain equipment and files for calibration.
+ Write techniques and procedures as a Level 2 inspector.
+ Perform NDT audits per requirements.
+ Carry out day-to-day work following the department's continuous improvement plan.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2+ years’ experience in Non-Destructive Ultrasonic Testing.
+ Background in manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace industry.
+ Proficiency with mechanical and electronic inspection tools and devices.
+ Working knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional tolerances (GD&T).
+ Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, surface plate tools, mylars, optical comparators, thickness gauges, profilometers, aerospace specifications, quality codes, and standards.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Skill in choosing appropriate measuring tools based on blueprint drawings.
+ Capability to measure tolerances accurately to tenths with minimal errors.
+ Basic computer skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ On-the-job training towards UT Level 2 certification.
+ Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in aerospace.

**Work Environment**
Join a large manufacturing environment with 25-27 machinists working across three shifts in a machine shop. The company designs and manufactures precision metallic tubular parts and assemblies for commercial aircraft, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. **Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
