**Job Title: NDT Inspector**
**Job Description**
The NDT Inspector is responsible for performing and documenting nondestructive tests and inspections using Visual, Liquid Penetrant, and/or Magnetic Particle methods. This role involves evaluating welds and determining acceptance or rejection based on U.S. Navy Specifications and Standards. The position requires ASNT-TC-1A or equivalent certification.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop process instructions for non-destructive testing and associated activities.
+ Supervise procedure qualification, record keeping, and associated documentation.
+ Maintain an up-to-date status list of all NGSB-CM NDT procedures.
+ Audit, certify, and oversee the Welding Process Coordinator for welding, brazing, and welder performance qualifications.
+ Review and approve process control procedures and work packages for welding and brazing.
+ Provide guidance and direction on all matters pertaining to welding, brazing, and NDT.
+ Manage and administer NDT training and certification processes.
+ Write Inspection/Deficiency Reports and investigate quality discrepancies.
+ Coordinate with production for inspection requirements and witness test and inspection checkpoints.
+ Comply with all Health/Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read and interpret work specifications, standards, and references.
+ Proficient in written and oral communication.
+ Computer skills in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
+ Good physical condition for walking, crawling, and climbing.
+ Ability to foster good relations among peers, supervisory, and customer personnel.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School graduate or equivalent.
+ Graduate of ASNT/NAVSEA recognized NDT school.
+ UT experience is a plus.

**Work Environment**

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
