NDE Technician
Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for Conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) and evaluation of components, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and Flowserve's quality requirements. Performing various NDT techniques, interpreting test results, and generating inspection reports to support the quality assurance and inspection processes.

Requirements:Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), radiographic testing (RT), and visual inspection (VT) on components, materials, and equipment according to established procedures and standardsSet up and calibrate NDT equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable test resultsConduct inspections to detect and evaluate defects, discontinuities, or anomalies that could affect product performance or integrityExecute NDT tests and inspections in accordance with work instructions, test plans, and inspection proceduresCollect and record test data, inspection results, and observations accurately and thoroughly using appropriate documentation methods and formsIdentify and document any abnormalities, defects, or non-conformities detected during inspections for further evaluation or corrective actionEnsure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations, and customer specifications governing NDT processes and proceduresPerform visual inspections and dimensional checks to verify the condition, configuration, and integrity of components and assembliesAssist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to address NDT-related discrepancies or non-conformitiesAssist in the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of NDT equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and accuracyFollow established preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and maintain optimal performanceNotify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions, deficiencies, or calibration issues requiring attention or corrective actionAdhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations governing NDT operations to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the work environmentParticipate in safety meetings, training sessions, and hazard identification activities to promote a culture of safety awareness and risk mitigation

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalentFamiliarity with NDT techniques, equipment, and procedures, magnetic particle testing (MT), dye penetrant testing (PT), and radiographic testing (RT)Required to achieve SNT-TC-1A, ISO9712, and IRRSPAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentsStrong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred:

Certification or training in one or more NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level II certification) is highly desirableVisual Inspection (VT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT),Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in non-destructive testing (NDT), quality inspection, or related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentTechnical training or certification in NDT methods is preferred
