National Manager, Finance
Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The National Manager, Finance, is responsible for leading the Financial Services, Pricing and Promotions in the Corporate Office. This role is critical in driving the business forward through the development of key business relationships with a key focus on internal controls, strategy and process improvements. The role will have a full scope of accountability over the direct reporting teams and functional areas.

 

The role is a 2-year contract.

 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

 

People and team development:

Lead and coach team members to ensure everyone has a role in the success of the businessAssess talent on an ongoing basis, providing opportunities to continue development and growthBuild a culture that values relationships with internal and external customersCreate a culture of inclusion- encourage and drive new ideas from team members using tools including (but not limited to) the vision roadmapLead by example by proactively leveraging best practices and sharing continuous improvement ideasAchieve team results while upholding ethics, integrity, compliance, and company values

 

Financial Services, Pricing & Promotions and Analysis:

Manage operating budget and forecast process for functional areas including reporting on consolidated results and detailed analysisContinuous improvement to current reporting and communication processReviewing and refining internal controlsCommunicate, influence, and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results with internal and external customersEnsure sales pricing accuracy and analytics, as well as inbound freight processing and analytics through effective management and support of teamFocus on cash management and trade working capital to ensure objectives are achievedCollaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to ensure alignment and review performance resultsEnsure completion of all insurance-related tasks, including policy renewals and claims management.Support and collaborate StatsCan reportingInvolved in annual risk management policy renewals and review, and support of on-going risk managementSupport various internal and external auditsOther projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting, CPA designation7+ years of relevant experience and 4+ years of people management responsibilityProven leadership and finance skillsStrong communication skills to effectively work with senior management in various departments and locationsDetail-oriented and possesses sharp business acumenAbility to build strong relationships at all levels of the businessCritical thinker with an eye for identifying irregularities and exceptionsStrong presentation skillsStrategic thinker and change agentProblem solver and analytical expert Able to thrive in a fast-paced settingWillingness to travel up to 10% for periods of time - Primarily Canada This position must pass a post-offer background check
