National Accounts Manager – Chocolate & Cocoa Industry
Job Description Insight Global is seeking an experienced and driven National Accounts Manager to lead strategic sales initiatives and manage relationships with the largest national chocolate and cocoa manufacturers. This role is responsible for developing and executing account plans, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering best‑in‑class service to key accounts. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the chocolate and cocoa industry, a strong technical understanding of processing equipment or ingredients, and a proven track record of managing high‑value, long‑cycle B2B sales. This position may be based anywhere in the United States, provided the candidate lives within convenient access to a major airport to support frequent customer travel. In this role, the National Accounts Manager spends each day engaging directly with major chocolate and cocoa manufacturers to understand their operational challenges, production goals, and long‑term strategic priorities. You will develop and execute account plans, identify new revenue opportunities, and guide customers through complex technical solutions that align with their manufacturing needs. Much of your time will be spent meeting with purchasing, R&D, operations, and executive stakeholders—both virtually and on‑site—to build trust, present solutions, and advance long‑cycle sales opportunities. Internally, you will collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project execution and exceptional customer experience. You will also monitor industry trends, track competitive activity, prepare forecasts, maintain CRM accuracy, and lead contract negotiations that support sustainable, long‑term partnerships. Skills and Requirements - 5+ years of national or key account management experience - Background in chocolate, cocoa, or broader food & beverage manufacturing - Strong understanding of processing operations and B2B equipment or ingredient sales - Proven success managing high‑value, long‑cycle sales processes - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills - Ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders - Willingness to travel 75%+ domestically - Residence near a major U.S. airport to support frequent travel - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Experience selling capital equipment or technical processing systems - Existing relationships within major chocolate or cocoa manufacturers - Knowledge of thermal processing, grinding, refining, or related production technologies - CRM expertise (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) - Experience supporting factory trials, installations, or commissioning activities - Multilingual capabilities relevant to global chocolate/cocoa markets
