Your primary responsibility is to lead technical discussions, design solutions, and drive successful adoption of MySQL HeatWave in enterprise and strategic accounts. You will serve as a trusted advisor for customers while also contributing to best practices and reusable assets that benefit the wider team.
 

Key activities include:

Leading proof of concepts, benchmarks, and technical evaluations with customers. Designing and documenting repeatable architectures and cloud solutions. Delivering customer-facing technical workshops, demos, and presentations. Creating new industry-focused solutions using cloud-native technologies. Driving reporting and metrics on business activities and customer success. Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback and influence roadmap. Acting as a mentor for junior engineers to help them grow technically.

 

What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree. Relevant professional experience in software engineering, consulting, or solutions engineering roles. Proficiency with 2 or more scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, C++). Solid hands-on experience with at least 2 database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architecture. Proven ability to lead technical conversations with enterprise customers. Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to travel frequently (up to 50%).

Bonus Points (not required, but nice to have):

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Oracle, AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with cloud-native technologies such as containers, streaming, and monitoring. Exposure to analytics, machine learning, or data science use cases. Experience with project management methodologies or certifications (PMP, CAPM). Public speaking or published contributions (articles, blogs, community talks). Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
