Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is Seeking a PhD or MD / PHD to support Musculoskeletal Research.

Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time faculty partner joining an established Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Research Lab. We are interested in researchers with a focus in musculoskeletal research to include bone, muscle, cartilage, tendon, and infection.

The expectation is full salary funding by Year Three. Reasonable lab, biostatistical, research and clinical (if needed) support provided.

If the candidate is a practicing clinician, the selected individual will be actively involved in 80% research effort with 20% clinical effort.

· Candidate can treat conditions related to musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting.

· Eligible for NC Medical License

· Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in respective specialty (Orthopaedic Surgery, Podiatric Surgery, Family Practice, PM&R, Pediatrics).

Wake Forest School of Medicine’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment of orthopedic problems, educating the next Orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons and researching advanced treatments. With over 26 academic locations, 3 research laboratories, 90 faculty, 2 residencies and 9 fellowships the Department has a wide range of clinical, educational and research complements.

Our subspecialty Orthopaedic surgeons provided compassionate, high-quality medical care to patients. Interdepartmental consultation across 10 subspecialties and a strong commitment to research and teaching keep the department at the

forefront of new developments in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with orthopedic and rehabilitation problems.
