Location: Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center (ATAMMC), Fort Belvoir, VA
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Education:
Graduate of an MRI education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or American Red CrossRegistered MRI Technologist (R.T. (MR)) – through ARRTExperience:
Minimum of 3 years full-time MRI technologist experienceHands-on experience operating GE and Siemens MRI scannersLicensure/Registration:
Current registration with ARRT as a Registered MR Technologist (R.T. (MR))Immunization Requirements

Greet and prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safetyClearly explain procedures and provide compassionate care to alleviate patient anxietyAccurately position patients and make necessary adjustments for optimal imagingPerform a full range of MRI scans independently, in accordance with MTF policies and Joint Commission (JC) standardsConduct daily equipment checks, quality control scans, and routine maintenanceIdentify abnormalities during scans and alert physicians to urgent findingsStock and manage MRI suite supplies; recommend repairs when imaging quality is impactedSet up and program scanning protocols, including site-specific techniquesOperate independently, covering shifts without direct supervision when necessaryDifferentiate between imaging artifacts and clinical findings; recognize equipment limitationsFollow strict infection control standards and safety protocolsIdeal Candidate
