Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.High School Diploma or Equivalent required.Trades/vocational school or equivalent preferredA valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required.Experience:Minimum of two (2) years of experience in welding.Skills:Computer, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.Requires excellent organizational skills; with the ability to work under fast paced and adverse conditionsWorking Conditions:Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicalsPhysical Requirements:Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. **This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**
Performs a variety of welding to complete structural repair and fabrication on various vehicles and equipment. Designs and fabricates metal components and structures to improve existing designs and reliability. Inspects and performs routine maintenance on light, heavy and specialized equipment. Performs structural repair on vehicles Entrusted with the fabrication of metal components. Improves structural design and integrity. Interprets factory diagrams. Knowledgeable with equipment and technical manuals. Fluent in the interpretation of blueprints and sketches. Complies with safety regulations.

Adhere to maintenance program production schedules and ensures all mission are executed on time and at the highest quality possible.Ensures project goals are met and standards are maintainedFollows staffing requirements and technical approach for task orders solicitationPerforms the execution of the current vehicle services and maximum utilization of equipment usage. Annotates miles/kilometers and hours used for each piece of equipment.Ensure that the responsibility, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.Adheres to and enforces the key control programAdhering to prioritization of shop work and appropriate teamworkCommunicates performance and issues that may arise with service.Assist in maintaining a safe workplace program, ensuring safety is the highest priority.Communicates professionally, both orally and written.Interacts professionally with the customer and other agencies.Performs other duties as assignedQualifications
