Morristown Medical Center Administrative Intern
Atlantic Health is seeking an administrative intern to provide support to the administrative hospital leadership team via completion of projects in assigned areas and active participation in meetings. Opportunity to develop the vital skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to become a leader in the dynamic healthcare field. Some activities include exposure to healthcare operations via multiple focus areas such as finance, nursing administration, information technology, human resources, and operations. Receives exposure to the full continuum of hospitals and services, medical groups, ambulatory care network, and community service. Great opportunity to engage and collaborate directly with accomplished leaders, gaining insight into areas from strategy to career pathways. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: + Engages in projects and meetings related to the current greatest needs of the hospital, focused on areas such as finance, nursing administration, and operations + Focuses on 1-2 key initiatives/projects and develops business plan, proposal, etc. and presents to hospital leadership at the end of the internship + Effectively communicates with administrative, clinical, and health system leadership to facilitate project work and career development + Supports projects and operational needs through data analysis, interpretation, and presentation + Demonstrates attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to meet project deadlines + Other duties as assigned + Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University + Enrollment in master’s degree in relevant healthcare field (MHA, MHSA, MPH, etc.) – preferred + Be in good academic standing + Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026 (Potential for extension can be discussed) + Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident. + Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 37.5 hours for the duration of the internship + Proficient in MS Office (Specifically Excel) + Strong presentation skills + Excellent analytical and communications skills At Atlantic Health System, our promise to our communities is; Anyone who enters one of our facilities, will receive the highest quality care delivered at the right time, at the right place, and at the right cost.
