\n\t\t\t\t\tFull job description\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Molding Manager to manage projects and supply direction for continuous process and tooling improvements within the facility.\n\nhas been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.\nThe Molding Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the injection molding department within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, reducing downtime, tooling improvements, and supplying direction for continuous improvement efforts. The Molding Manager plays a key role in ensuring molded automotive components meet OEM and industry standards.\nRESPONSIBLITIES:\nLead and manage all molding operations, including process control, maintenance coordination, tooling, part quality assurance and assist with the machine setup.\nEvaluate current process and GAP analysis from global standards and ensure all molded parts meet automotive quality, durability, and dimensional standards.\nCollaborate with team identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities to include scrap and usage.\nOversee a team of Process Technicians, Engineers, and the Tooling team across multiple shifts.\nResponsible for tooling design, documentation, and assessments.\nTrain and implement product and process improvements.\nCommunicate standards and troubleshoot issues for new and existing improvements.\nDevelop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines and volume targets.\nCollaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering on root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nMonitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as scrap rate, cycle time, OEE, and downtime.\nDrive a safety-first culture and enforce compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.\nSupport APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 quality initiatives and documentation requirements.\nIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements using lean manufacturing principles.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum of three years prior leadership experience preferred\nMinimum of ten years’ experience in process engineering, tooling, equipment and process improvement\nWorking knowledge of customer functional performance requirements\nIn-depth understanding and application of concepts, theories, and principles position discipline\nInjection molding (part design and processing) experience\nAutomated and plastic materials experience\nStrong technical project management, manufacturing engineering, statistical process control capability, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent technical and mechanical aptitude\nStrong understanding of MRP, quality control, purchasing, and accounting\nLean manufacturing experience a plus; to include Kepner-Trego, 5 Why, and Six Sigma problem solving skills\nWilling and able to travel as necessary\nProficient in Microsoft office\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
