Mold Technician
**Job Title: Mold Technician** **Job Description** This is a hands-on technical position responsible for molding machine setups, start-ups, operation, and shut-downs during the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The role involves performing mold changes, lockout/tagout, machine start-ups, mold setting, and material handling. The candidate will ensure that machines, molds, and equipment are properly functioning and maintained. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate molding machines. + Perform mold changes and lockout/tagout procedures. + Handle machine start-ups and shut-downs. + Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of machines, molds, and equipment. + Perform material handling and mold setting tasks. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in mold setting. + 1+ years of injection molding experience. + 1+ years of material handling/mold setting experience. + 1+ years of overhead crane experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Score a minimum of 16 on the Wonderlic Personnel Test. + Meet physical requirements: stand and walk for entire shift, lift 60 pounds repeatedly, and exert up to 150 foot pounds on torque wrench. + Ability to wear steel-toed footwear and work around a magnetic field. + Adequate visual acuity for molding press programming. + Capability to meet crane license requirements. + Experience in a Plastic Injection Molding setting, machine operating, setup, troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance repair. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a people-first culture with great benefits and PTO. This is one of the largest plants in SW MI and is part of a continuous improvement and kaizen initiative. The 2nd shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 5-10+ hours of overtime typical for the automotive industry. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vicksburg, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.90/hr.
