**Job Title: Mold Setup Technician**
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mold Setup Technician for the 2nd shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of plastic injection machinery. Key duties include changing out, setting up, and starting up the machines, as well as troubleshooting and ensuring efficient operations. The role also involves rigging and hoisting molds, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling molds, and performing preventative maintenance. Safe working practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), are essential.
Responsibilities
+ Change out and set up plastic injection machinery.
+ Operate and troubleshoot equipment to ensure efficient production.
+ Perform start-ups, shut downs, and first-run troubleshooting.
+ Rig and hoist molds in and out of machinery safely.
+ Disassemble, clean, and reassemble molds.
+ Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on molds.
+ Utilize Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for safety.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in the plastic injection molding industry.
+ Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
+ Proficiency in using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
+ Ability to operate forklifts and hoists.
+ Capability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to read and interpret machine drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
+ Familiarity with using process sheets and following step-by-step instructions.
+ Team-oriented attitude and willingness to collaborate effectively.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
