As a Mold Setup Technician, you will play a vital role in the production process by performing mold setups and color changes to meet production demands. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of production, working closely with quality inspectors to identify and address defects. Your duties will include setting molding process parameters, performing injection mold changeovers, and conducting weekly preventative maintenance on MAAC machines.
ResponsibilitiesPerform mold setup and color changes to meet production demands.Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, collaborating with quality inspectors to identify defects.Set molding process parameters to ensure the quality of part production.Execute injection mold changeovers and conduct weekly preventative maintenance on MAAC machines.Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment issues to ensure quality and reduce downtime.Identify defects in process and production, working with plant teams to enhance efficiency and end product quality.Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.Ensure company policies are followed and enforce safety regulations.Accept training and direction from the shift foreman or delegate.Use Mold Setup/Removal instructions to perform setups according to procedures.Perform some foremen's duties in their absence.Assist foremen with responding to operators' trouble lights.Complete all Setup/Removal paperwork in a timely manner.Help maintain clean work areas and foster good working relationships.
Essential SkillsExperience in injection molding.Proficiency in setting and removing molds.Familiarity with overhead cranes and material handling.
Additional Skills & QualificationsInjection molding certifications.Education in relevant fields.Processing experience.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a temperature-controlled facility with 23 presses including Cincinnati and Toyo, with the largest tonnage at 385. Shifts available are: 1st Shift from 8:00am - 4:00pm, 2nd Shift from 3:55pm - 12:00am, and 3rd Shift from 11:55pm - 8:00am, with the work week starting Monday night and ending Friday night. You will spend 75%-80% of your time setting up machines and changing molds, with the remainder focused on material handling, troubleshooting, or performing machine repairs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
